King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Glorious Qur'an

The Translation Award for Institutions is awarded to King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Glorious Qur'an, for the great value and quantity of distinguished works of translation it administers, and funds and for being nominated by a number of governmental and non-governmental organizations for the Award.

The complex is one of the most prominent establishments that contributed greatly to the translation of the Glorious Qur'an, presenting translations into fifty different Asian, European, and African languages. The complex did also organize a symposium on the different translations of the Glorious Qur'an and established a translation center. This center encompasses a number of specialized units that study available translations and conduct analytical research projects with the intention of providing more refined translation of the Glorious Qur'an and excluding those of lesser quality or of lower precision.

In addition, the complex exerted efforts in creating a large network of translators in different languages and in building a comprehensive and easily accessible data base for translations of the Glorious Qur'an in many languages. The complex, as well, publishes a refereed journal providing scholarly articles on translations of the Glorious Qur'an and the Sunnah and related issues.
